Introducing a new series of works derived from fragments of ornamented women's bodies as depicted in art history and contemporary culture. Image fragments are translated into a painterly collage of techniques influenced by traditional portraiture, textile traditions, and contemporary approaches.

Panel Discussion: Works on Paper as Works in Progress
Saturday, April 25, 2015, Noon
"Throughout much of art history, works on paper have been considered preparatory objects rather than final products. This talk, moderated by Caoimhe Morgan-Feir, interim online editor at Canadian Art, will investigate contemporary iterations of paper’s provisional nature. Do today’s unprocessed photographs, erased sketches, and additive images hold clues about the art form’s history and potential?"
Presented by Canadian Art
Moderator: Caoimhe Morgan-Feir
Speakers: Jérôme Nadeau, Laura Simon, and Amanda Clyne
My painting Double Take (2009) now graces the cover of Canadian author Jane Rule's "landmark work of lesbian fiction", Desert of the Heart.
