What does it mean to sew something together?

Amanda Clyne

To sew something together is

to bind disparate parts,

to have a body fragile enough to be pierced but strong enough to withstand the wound,

to share edges,

to minimize damage,

to seek equilibrium between being bound and being free,

to risk future separation.

Quilt made from pieces of old family photo album pages, sewn by hand with needs and thread.
